Inspiration from another traveler

I'm currently in Kuala Lumpur, now traveling with an old friend Jodi from Montreal and New York. She is also traveling the world by herself and is a fellow blogger on Legal Nomads. Last night we were walking back from dinner and ran into a guy who has been motorbiking around the world for eight years. He's not just a guy, he's Yarets Vladimir Alekseevich, from Belarus, and he's both deaf and mute! This guy is an inspiration. We communicated with a lot of hand gestures and pointing on maps, and the guy is probably the happiest person I've ever met. It's hard enough traveling to a country and not speaking the language, but to not speak or hear at all, that takes courage. So for all you people who are too scared to travel for whatever reason, just think about Yarets. Check out his site at yarets.com. He's traveled more than 100,000 miles and visited some 40 countries, and he's still smiling.
